So I own the watch for 2 months now…. I don't regret buying it( mayb little) as I am fan of g shock, but man, watch is useless if you cannot connect it to the phone!!! The Casio app called g shock move is a joke! Requires GPS on at all the time, looses connection with the phone couple of times a day anyway! To pair it again, you need to turn Bluetooth off and back on and if you lucky it will connect again, but if not you need to reinstall the app… It happens few times a day. let's say you go upstairs leaving the phone downstairs, when you come back down it will not reconnect automatically, needs to be done by switching Bluetooth off and on which disconnects other devices connected to the phone. They know how to sell watch for £600 but they cant fix the app… Cheap Chinese smart bands have better connection. Absolute joke Japan….
Wear os in the other hand is connected to the phone all the time , reconnects the watch no problem. I would even bother to use Casio OS and its app but Google fit has no swimming on the watch and this is why I have to use g shock move….
Please make this with solar panel and without wear os.

I love how in these comments there are so many "Bear Grylls" wannabes. Like how often are you just camping out, weeks at a time? The average person will charge their phone/watch/ anything else nightly. It runs on a damn battery so of course it needs to charge. G Shock is literally a name only device. You can get a regular Casio if you want just a watch.
Put it in a G-Shock square and I’ll buy one.

Got to love a Desfit review. I bought one refurbished for $250 after seeing your review. Your review nails it. Is it worth MSRP? Not even a chance but Casio has offered them new for about $420 also which it should have started at. You have to want a G-Shock and also understand the whole package is very dated but it still has many G-Shock qualities and the G-Shock software is very good. It wont be my primary watch but notifications and other light smartwatch features are important to me and 8 clicks or more on their in house software (GBD-H1000) to read one is so unintuitive. Wear OS is the anchor weighing it down but that is just how it is until maybe Wear OS 3. The internals are from a parts bin but that's what all Wear OS watches are now anyway.

Lost interest in this watch the moment I saw that it had wearOS. It’s a death sentence for battery life and I don’t want smartphone apps on my wrist
